The Kingston School Health Service provides a range of services to children and young people in Kingston. Each setting is provided with a School Health Practitioner who supports the health and emotional wellbeing of students through education, assessment, 1:1 and group work.
My name is Nicky and I am the School Health Practitioner at Malden Oaks. Some of your children will be familiar with me as I provide a confidential health drop in once a week, which students are free to access.
The School Health Team will be offering each student a personal health assessment to identify any unmet health and wellbeing needs and to look at ongoing support they may benefit from. This will be completed during school hours.
The assessment is confidential but if students are happy for information to be shared with you to support their needs we will make contact after the assessment. If safety concerns are identified during the assessment then the student will be informed about the need for information to be shared to ensure that they are kept safe.
The assessment and records about your child will be recorded on the secure Your Healthcare record keeping system. This information will form part of your child’s complete medical record.
If you have any questions please call 02085496323 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and mark for the attention of Nicky Fairclough.
