Below are some comments from our latest annual Parent Survey. Though the survey is anonymous, parents are asked to indicate which part of Malden Oaks their child goes to.

I feel so blessed to have been given a place at Malden Oaks. Upon coming to the end of his time with EISS, we visited  6Oaks but I struggled to see it being accessible. After experiencing significant trauma in mainstream school, I could not envisage a day when any sort of engagement with an educational establishment would ever feature for my child. And DoE photos on the board definitely felt like someone else’s life! However, last summer, he actually did the expedition! He is now timetabled 5 days a week and *mainly* attending. The environment is so in tune with the needs of the young people and staff do all they can to support them and set them up to succeed. Life is still hard but I feel 6Oaks has opened up the possibility of being able to engage with the world again.  6Oaks parent

We’re absolutely delighted with how our son has settled into his new alternative provision. From the very start, the team has been so warm, supportive, and genuinely understanding of his individual needs. It’s clear that staff take the time to really get to know each child and create a nurturing environment where they can feel safe, valued, and able to thrive.

Its an amazing school where my son has find a place where he feels respected, cared and heard, where he feels that he belongs and feels safe, the head teacher and all staff are amazing! my son is finally settled, learning and happy in an environment that he feels secure.  Kingston Parent
